This is Mark Klingler, the artist interested in ghost moths. I have moved to eastern Pa, Pocono area. My wife attained a curator position at the new small museum/planetarium at East Straudsburg University. I am a home dad with our youngster, Olivia. And also, doing some talks and freelance with art/illustration.
Though, I am still interested in continuing with ghost moths, primarily, spthenopis group. Last year your friend Sharon sent me a moth, Spt purpesecense (four-spotted g m) and some eggs, which unfortunately didn’t hatch. I would like to try again for fun, if possible.
If you all find any moths in this group ( Silver-spotted, Four-spotted, Auratus, Willow, or ones which appear to be in the group), please let me know and if willing to send me a moth / eggs to continue to attempt rearing notes in hopes to learn more and one day publish to share with the public.
The moth specimens are prepared in my collection and photographed in hopes to aid me with illustrating a series of ghost moth illustrations. This is a personal art project I am working on for my exhibition collection to continue sharing with the public. Last year I had a solo-exhibition at Tom Ridge Education Center, Presque Isle State Park, Erie, PA. Included artwork illustrations, sculptures and specimens.
Thank you once again for your support on this project. And I do enjoy visiting your web blogs on local nature of Dakotas. Though, I may never be able to visit, I have visited on Google map and through tv nature programs on your corner of the world.
